In October 1998 Ray travelled to Nepal
for an 11 day trek with Everest Trekking Canada in the
Solu region of eastern Nepal, south of Everest. The group
flew from Kathmandu to Phaplu and explored this beautiful
and seldom trekked region. They visited monasteries and a
school in Ringmo, sponsored by Everest Trekking Canada.
They climbed Peekay, the high point of the trek at 13,000
ft (4,000 m), to enjoy spectacular views of Everest and
surrounding mountains. Following the trek, the group
travelled to the Royal Chitwan Park to stay at Tiger Tops
for a 2 day jungle safari.

Have a look at a few of Ray’s photos.
