In October 1995 Ray and Jeanne flew from
Kathmandu to Lukla to trek in the Everest area. The route
followed the Dudh Kosi river and up to Namche Bazaar,
then proceeded to Gokyo Lake where we climbed Gokyo Ri (18,000
ft, 5486 m) to view a stunning panorama that included 4
of the top 10 peaks in Nepal, including Everest, Lhotse,
Cho Oyo and Makalu. The trek included visits to Tengboche
Monastery and Phakding Gompa.
Have a look at a few of our photos.
